Add another casualty to TCU men’s basketball injury woes.
Post Karviar Shepherd will have surgery and miss an undetermined amount of time after injuring his non-shooting left hand Saturday against Kansas. The freshman is averaging 8.4 points and 7.4 rebounds while starting all 19 games for the Horned Frogs. TCU (9-10, 0-7 Big 12) has a bye before playing at Texas Tech at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Shepherd’s absence leaves TCU with seven scholarship players available. Preseason injuries sidelined Devonta Abron and Aaron Durley and transfer rules have kept Chris Washburn and Trey Zeigler from playing this season.
