Oklahoma handcuffed TCU leading scorer Zahna Medley and the Horned Frogs’ offense to secure a 63-52 victory on Saturday at the Lloyd Noble Center.

Medley scored just five points, all in the first half, and she didn’t hit a field goal in seven tries in the second half. TCU (12-7, 3-4 Big 12) made a season-low 14 field goals on 58 attempts (24.1 percent).

Natalie Ventress led the Frogs with 14 points, including four 3-pointers, and Donielle Breaux added 11. Chelsea Prince was just shy of a double-double with nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

Aaryn Ellenberg hit a game-high 19 points for the Sooners (13-7, 4-3). She had seven during a 15-2 Oklahoma run that helped the Sooners build a 44-25 lead five minutes into the second half.

Both teams were coming off significant wins. TCU won its first game against Texas in 33 tries on Sunday, and Oklahoma beat Iowa State on Sunday for its first win in Ames since 2008.

Morgan Hook had 11 points, and Sharane Campbell chipped in eight points and six rebounds for the Sooners. Oklahoma went 21 of 49 from the field, including 8 for 18 on 3-pointers.

TCU fell to 3-15 all-time against the Sooners and failed to get its first win in 10 games in Norman.

The Frogs next play No. 8 Oklahoma State (17-1, 6-1) at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
