The TCU women’s basketball team makes its first road trip in its 2014 Big 12 slate as the Horned Frogs travel to Lubbock to take on Texas Tech at 1 p.m. Sunday.
TCU’s second-leading scorer, Natalie Ventress, will be a game-time decision for the contest after missing TCU’s last two games while undergoing concussion testing. Ventress averages 11.5 points per game and is the Horned Frogs’ second-leading 3-point shooter with a minimum of five attempts at 30.4 percent.
Sophomore guard Zahna Medley is coming off a team-high 22-point night in TCU’s 71-49 loss to Iowa State on Thursday.
Tech also lost its Big 12 opener on Thursday, falling to Oklahoma 63-38.
Junior guard Amber Battle leads Tech’s offense with an average of 17.8 points per game and is the conference leader in rebounds per game with nine.
It will be the 41st meeting between the schools with Tech dominating the all-time series 39-1.
