TCU women looking to bounce back against Stephen F. Austin

Poor shooting has cost the Frogs in recent losses.

The TCU women’s basketball team looks to bounce back from a two-game skid over the holiday week by taking on Stephen F. Austin on Wednesday at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

Shooting remains one of the Horned Frogs’ weaknesses. TCU shot just 19 percent against South Dakota State on Nov. 27, and for the season, the Frogs are shooting 40 percent from the field and 32 percent from 3-point range.

Stephen F. Austin is averaging 65.4 points a game this season with opponents scoring 70.1 points per game.

Four juniors are featured in SFA’s starting lineup, including 6-foot-2 center Porsha Roberts who is averaging 15.1 points and 6.3 rebounds a game.

The all-time series between the teams is tied 1-1.
