The UT Arlington men’s basketball team may have put up a fight in its 105-76 loss to Kentucky, but a good loss is still a loss.

The Mavericks continue the Keightley Classic against Robert Morris at 6 p.m. Thursday in Moon Township, Pa., near Pittsburgh, looking to get back to .500 for the third time this season.

Led by dynamic scoring guard Reger Dowell, the Mavericks are lighting up the scoreboard at 87 points per game. Dowell averages 24.8 per game, but Brandon Edwards is averaging a double-double with 18.8 points and 11 rebounds per game.

The Colonials weren’t able to score much in an 87-49 loss to Kentucky on Sunday, but they’re 2-2 and led by Karvel Anderson and his 17.8 points per game.

The Mavericks will need to lock Anderson down late, considering he’s scored 57 of his 71 points in the second half this season.
