3 from Texas named Biletnikoff semifinalists

Three receivers from Texas colleges were selected Monday among the 10 semifinalists for the 2013 Biletnikoff Award: Texas A&M’s Mike Evans, Baylor’s Antwan Goodley and Texas Tech’s Jace Amaro. Amaro, a tight end, also was selected as one of eight semifinalists for the 2013 Mackey Award, given to the nation’s top tight end.
Other semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award, given annual to the nation’s top receiver, include Fresno State’s Davante Adams, LSU’s Odell Beckham, Oregon State’s Brandin Cooks, Vanderbilt’s Jordan Matthews, Colorado’s Paul Richardson, Penn State’s Allen Robinson, Ball State’s Willie Snead and Clemson’s Sammy Watkins.
Other Mackey Award semifinalists include Indiana’s Ted Bolser, North Carolina’s Eric Ebron, Michigan’s Devin Funchess, Marshall’s Gator Hoskins, Notre Dame’s Troy Niklas, Florida State’s Nick O’Leary and Washington’s Austin Seferian-Jenkins.
