Fort Worth Cats hold off Charros for second straight win

Ryan Lashley went 2 for 4 and sparked a three-run fourth inning with an RBI double, and starter Trent Evins pitched seven innings against his former team as the Fort Worth Cats beat the Brownsville Charros 6-3 Wednesday at LaGrave Field.
In his first start for the Cats, Evins (1-0) gave up three runs on six hits, walked one and struck out four. Dylan Rucker pitched out of a jam in the eighth and Chase Johnson struck out two in the ninth for his eighth save.
Adam Kam had two hits and an RBI for the Cats.
