San Angelo bats come alive in sixth inning during rout of Fort Worth Cats

San Angelo unleashed a six-run sixth inning against the Fort Worth Cats on Sunday for a runaway 12-5 victory at LaGrave Field.
Fort Worth (38-32) led 4-3 entering the sixth, but starting pitcher Corey MacDonald and reliever Trent Evins allowed a combined four hits. Two Cats errors in the inning helped the Colts take a 9-4 lead.
San Angelo (30-38) scored three more runs in the ninth on four hits.
Fort Worth’s Cory Morales had three hits. Edwin Gomez and Sam DiMatteo both had two RBIs.
