Rio Grande Valley scored the tie-breaking run on a two-out error in the bottom of the eighth and beat the Fort Worth Cats 5-4 on Thursday night.

The Cats’ Oscar Garcia tripled with two outs in the ninth, but .400 hitter Ryan Lashley popped out to end the game and his 0 for 5 night.
Roger Bernal led off the WhiteWings’ eighth with a single, went to second on a sacrifice bunt and took third on a passed ball. He scored on an error.
The Cats’ Andres Rodriguez (3 for 4) tied the game 4-4 in the third with a home run.
Fort Worth led 3-0 after the top of the second on Tim Albert’s two-run double. But RGV scored four in the bottom half off Cats starter Trent Montgomery, who went the distance.
