The San Angelo Colts scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning for a 7-4 victory in the second game to split a doubleheader Wednesday night against the Fort Worth Cats at LaGrave Field.

Mike Pair’s two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning helped the Cats pick up a 4-1 victory in the first game, but the Colts’ victory later snapped the Cats’ six-game winning streak, all of which came against San Angelo.

Cats starter Jack McGeary gave up a run on two hits in 5 2/3 innings in the first game. The Cats took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI double by Ryan Lashley and an RBI single by Edwin Gomez. McGeary (2-0) gave up a home run to Austin Newell in the sixth, but Pair’s blast put Fort Worth back in control.
