German Duran went 2 for 4 and drove in two runs and Dylan Rucker gave up a run on three hits through six innings as the Fort Worth Cats held on to beat the San Angelo Colts 5-3 Friday night at LaGrave Field.

Duran’s two-run single in the first inning put the Cats up 2-0 and Calvin Culver hit a bases-loaded single in the third for a 3-0 lead before the Colts got on the board with a run in the top of the fourth.

Fort Worth padded the lead with two runs in the fifth inning. Jose Duran tripled to drive in a run and he scored on a single by Adam King to go up 5-1.

San Angelo added runs in seventh and eighth, but Luis Sanz shut the Colts down in the ninth for his fifth save.
