FW Cats blast San Angelo for fourth straight win

The Fort Worth Cats continued their recent hot streak with an impressive 8-7 victory over the San Angelo Colts on Monday night at Foster Field.

It was the fourth consecutive victory for the Cats, who improved their overall record to 19-17. San Angelo has lost two straight and sits at 13-19.

Third baseman Ryan Lashley had two hits for the Cats, including a home run in the third inning. Lashley has been a force for Fort Worth this season, hitting .500 with three home runs and 19 RBIs.

Starting pitcher Trent Montgomery picked up his fourth victory of the season for Fort Worth. He allowed six runs in 6 1/3 innings. Reliever Luis Sanz pitch the ninth for his third save.
