Now we’ll find out how big the World Cup really is in North Texas.
AT&T Stadium in Arlington will host a World Cup watch party for Team USA’s match against Belgium on Tuesday.
Admission and parking is free.
The match begins at 3 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Parking lots open at 12:30 p.m. Fans can enter the stadium through Entry A, C, H and K.
Fans will be able to watch the match on the center-hung videoboard that spans between the 20-yard lines and features four individual boards — two facing the sidelines and two facing the end zones. The sideline boards measure 160 feet wide by 72 feet tall while those facing the end zones measure 53 feet by 30 feet.
The Americans advanced out of the Group of Death to the knockout stage despite last week’s 1-0 loss against Germany.
Belgium won all three of its games in Group H and allowed just one goal.
The stadium bag policy will be in effect. No large bags or purses will be allowed into the stadium. Only small, single-compartment clutch purses are permitted.
Dallas will also celebrate World Cup fever, with a watch party at the AT&T Plaza at American Airlines Center. The free party, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, is being hosted by FC Dallas, the Frisco-based Major League Soccer club.
