A four-run fourth inning helped the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings get ahead and stay ahead to beat the error-prone Fort Worth Cats 7-2 on Monday at Harlingen Field.
Four players had multiple hits for the WhiteWings, including Roger Bernal and Tyler Kobretzky, both of whom went 3 for 4.
Cats starter Curtis Camilli (1-1) was able to work around four of Fort Worth’s six errors on the night in the first by giving up just one run, but he gave up a walk and four singles in the fourth as the WhiteWings pulled away.
