The Fort Worth Cats put plenty of runs on the board, but the San Angelo Colts rallied from an early deficit for a wild 14-9 victory Tuesday that featured six errors from both teams combined.
The Colts broke an 8-8 tie with one run in the sixth to go ahead for good, and third baseman Michael Thompson hit a three-run double in the ninth to provide San Angelo plenty of insurance.
The Cats jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first inning after batting around. But the Colts scored three runs each in the fourth and fifth to tie the game and then take an 8-5 lead.
Jake Feckley (2-0) earned the win for San Angelo, and Steven Schils got his first save of the year.
