Sunday’s Fort Worth Cats game against the Brownsville Charros at LaGrave Field was suspended because of the rain in the top the fifth inning with Brownsville leading 6-1.
The remainder of the game will resume at 4:05 p.m. today, followed by a second game of seven innings.
Sunday’s tickets can be redeemed for any remaining regular-season game, excluding July 4.
Cats designated hitter Julio Franco, the 55-year-old former Texas Ranger and AL batting champ, was 0-for-2 at the plate when play was suspended.
Franco, signed by Fort Worth for its season-opening homestand, has hit safely in all five Cats games (6-for-20) and will try to keep the streak going when play resumes today.
