TV: FSSW, NBC Sports Network
Radio: KTCK/1310 AM and 96.7 FM
Series: Tied 2-2
About the Stars: The series has been physical. In Wednesday’s Game 4, there were 72 hits and 82 penalty minutes, a fight between Stars forward Antoine Roussel and Ducks forward Corey Perry, and nearly another scrum at game’s end. ... Defenseman Alex Goligoski played 32:48 in Game 4. He has played a higher percentage of his team’s minutes than any skater in the playoffs, according to the Stars’ website. Goligoski is plus-4 despite most of his time being matched against Ryan Getzlaf and Perry, two of the league’s top five scorers.
About the Ducks: Team captain Ryan Getzlaf, who scored four points in the first three games of the series, missed Game 4 with an upper body injury. He took a puck to the face late in Game 1 that resulted in a laceration requiring several stitches. His availability for Friday is uncertain. ... Coach Bruce Boudreau did not name a starting goaltender for Game 5. Rookie Frederik Andersen had played every minute of the series until being replaced by Jonas Hiller in the third period Wednesday. Hiller hadn’t played since April 6. ... Forward Teemu Selanne, the 43-year-old wing, was a healthy scratch.
