TCU (4-0) had to overcome rain, their own penalties, and rival SMU (1-3) in the Battle for the Iron Skillet, coming away with a 24-16 victory.

Garrett Gilbert completed only 15 of 40 passes for the Mustangs and was intercepted five times, including a Hail Mary pass as time expired.

Matthew Tucker led the Horned Frogs in rushing with 56 yards and one touchdown and had his first career touchdown reception.

The Frogs had 12 penalties for 140 yards, nearly matching their 156 yards of total offense. The Mustangs gained 220 yards, 190 in the air, as leading running back Zach Line had little success against the Frogs apart from a 21-yard touchdown.

The Horned Frogs travel to Dallas to take on the rival Mustangs in the Battle for the Iron Skillet. Follow our coverage live on the College Confidential blog and join in the conversation through Twitter, Facebook and in the comments.
