TCU scored two touchdowns in the first six minutes after two New Mexico fumbles and rolled to a 69-0 win Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium. Johnny Fobbs forced both fumbles which gave TCU (5-2, 3-0 in Mountain West) the ball inside the Lobos' 25-yard line. Matt Brown and Luke Shivers each scored on runs of four and one yard. TCU made it 20-0 at the end of the first quarter when Casey Pachall connected with Logan Brock for a six-yard touchdown reception.
TCU held New Mexico (0-7, 0-2) to five first downs. One of those first downs came courtesy of a TCU penalty. The Horned Frogs outgained the Lobos 515 to 85.
TCU led 41-0 at the half as Antoine Hicks, Waymon James scored on short runs and Skye Dawson took a screen pass from Pachall and raced in for a 20-yard touchdown.
At the end of the third quarter, New Mexico had more penalty yards (45) than total offensive yards (44) and TCU led 55-0. Ed Wesley, who finished with 74 yards on six carries, scored on a four-yard run and Antonio Graves recovered a punt in the end zone for a score. Deryck Gildon blocked the punt.
