Baseball’s final day of the regular season had unbelievable finishes. Tampa Bay was down 7-0 against the Yankees but rallied to win 8-7 in 12 innings on Evan Longoria’s walk-off home run. Boston, which had a nine-game lead in the wild-card standings this month, lost at Baltimore 4-3 as the Orioles scored twice in the bottom of the ninth. Atlanta, another team with a big wild-card lead earlier this month, lost 4-3 in 13 innings at Philadelphia and missed out on the playoffs after St. Louis beat the Astros 8-0 to claim the final spot after looking as if they were out of the playoff chase earlier this month. After that wild finish, now we get to the playoffs. Can’t wait.
