Talking, not kneeling: Fort Worth players discuss, debate race relations

Many Fort Worth high school football players understand the reasons behind Colin Kaepernick’s decision to kneel during the national anthem before NFL games, but that doesn’t mean they will join him in protest. Key matchup in Cowboys-Bears game: Brandon Carr vs. Alshon Jeffery

Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery vs. Cowboys CB Brandon Carr. Jeffery is dealing with a knee injury and is questionable to play, but, if he does, Jeffery will pose an intimidating threat. Jeffery has nine catches for 201 yards through the first two games, and the Cowboys must contain him. That responsibility will likely fall to Carr, who is off to a solid start this season. Carr had an interception in Week 1, and made several nice defensive plays in the red zone last week in Washington.
