Rangers select Darvish to make Opening Day start

The Horned Frogs (22-15) will be playing for the first time in New York’s Madison Square Garden when they compete in Tuesday’s NIT semifinals. But for first-year coach Jamie Dixon, who posted a 26-15 coaching mark in the facility during his time at Pittsburgh, the Garden has been the backdrop for some of the moist poignant memories of his coaching career.

TCU values extra prep time for NIT semifinals

The Horned Frogs will go a full week between games before taking the floor for Tuesday’s NIT matchup against Central Florida at Madison Square Garden in New York. That means more time to heal minor injuries and more time for coach Jamie Dixon to devise a game plan to attack the Knights’ stingy defense, led by 7-foot-6 center Tacko Fall.
