Q: From yourself being around Valley Ranch what is the feel that you are getting about Isaiah Stanback? Do you think he can contribute this year and bring some much needed speed and versatility to our offense?
Answered 05/13/08 13:40:08 by Jennifer Engel
A: They are high, high, high on the WR convert and think he may be at least part of the solution on their receiver problems. He certainly has been working hard enough but, like with most things, he has to prove he can do it outside of the underwear Olympics of practice. Until next week, Hugs and kisses, Love, JenSubmitted by Slim from Fort Worth
Q: It looks like Jessica has struck again. Romo failed to qualify for the US Open.
Answered 05/13/08 13:38:49 by Jennifer Engel
A: Only if Romo calls his putter Jessica.Submitted by Mark from
Q: I know the Rangers are way behind in the division, but I do so enjoy watching them win. They may not get far this year, but to see them win at least once in a while sure feels good. Finally, some effort! Good for you RW and company! My question: Is Richie Sexson (Seattle) a little off plum or what?
Answered 05/13/08 13:37:56 by Jennifer Engel
A: Sexson is an idiot. Quit being a baby, dude. As for the Rangers, I am glad people seem to be excited about this little streak they have gone on. I wish I were but what I find is myself just waiting for them to do what they always do which is come crashing back to earth and proving the fluke was the couple of weeks of good stuff not the ugly April.Submitted by Mr. Happy from Dallas, TX
Q: Jen, Do you still think Loserville tag is gone because Stars got out of 1st round, or did your reality check just hit your mailbox (0-2 soon to be 0-4). Dallas' only hope for a WINNER, is an Arena Football League (but they have choked last 2 times also). So what do Loserville fans look to for relief
Answered 05/13/08 13:36:27 by Jennifer Engel
A: I think reaching the West Finals qualifies as dispatching with Loserville, at least for a while. Just do not campaign for a change to Title Town, that seems a ways away. And I am not sure an Arena Bowl title is going to have anybody in this town too terribly excited.Submitted by Jack from
Q: After surprising us all by winning their first two series', how disappointed are you that the Stars aren't even competitive with the Red Wings? Is this a simple case of the Stars being completely overmatched or did they wear themselves out with two tough, physical rounds vs. Anaheim and San Jose?
Answered 05/13/08 13:34:41 by Jennifer Engel
A: Surprised? No. Disappointed? Yes. The Red Wings are more skilled and the Stars can not beat them at their game. What has been troublesome is the Stars have not been able to play their game or force Detroit to try to play it. Thus why we have a team down 3-0 and looking just plain overmatched in getting there.Submitted by Mike from
Q: I know the bar is really low for the Rangers, but are you impressed by their recent turnaround? They actually look like a real baseball team again and are sniffing .500. Since he got most of the blame when the team looked like crap, does Ron Washington deserve a lot of the credit for the team playing good baseball?
Answered 05/13/08 13:33:24 by Jennifer Engel
A: No, I am not impressed. Nor am I ready to heap too much praise on Wash. Call me cranky but I am wondering where this team was in April? Seriously, is it too much to ask them to not wait until they have dug themselves in a huge hole to start showing up, to start hustling, to start playing fundamental baseball?Submitted by Patrick M. Q: Does anybody really think the Cowboys can return to greatness under Jerry Jones? He seems hellbent to undo all the changes Parcells made. Next up: Promoting Dave Campo back to head coach.
Answered 05/13/08 13:31:25 by Jennifer Engel
A: I do. Honest, I do. Because while Owner Jones battles stupid every once and while, he also wants desperately to win. And he is willing to spend and take chances and eventually he figures out what needs to be done. See: Hiring Parcells.Submitted by Bobby from Weatherford
Q: I think we all agree that things have to change for the Mavs to get back to the elite level everyone seems to believe they are destined to live at, much like the Cowboys and the Stars, but, when looking at the contracts (or idiots) they cannot move, are the Mavs in any better shape than the Knicks, and if so, how realistic is a Dirk trade to speed up the rebuilding process?
Answered 05/13/08 13:29:43 by Jennifer Engel
A: Everybody is in better shape than the Knicks. I mean things are bad in Dallas but not that bad, not even close. I say this mostly because of the name you mentioned: Dirk. And I want to go on record as saying I think trading him is a mistake, a huge mistake. And while he is probably the only valuable peice they have (except for possibly Bass, maybe Jet and Josh if clean) what are you building around if he is gone? The no-judgment pothead? The aging perimeter players? Damp? Ha. The Big German is their only hope.Submitted by Jay from
Q: What kind of vote of confidence did Jon Daniels give Ron Washington last week when he said they would reevaluate his status after the All-Star break? I thought that was kind of a sorry thing for JD to say especially since the team has sort of turned it around. If I'm Wash, I would like a little more backing from my boss especially since he provided me with a fairly suspect roster.
Answered 05/13/08 13:27:14 by Jennifer Engel
A: Wash is lucky he has a job. Period. JD is an idiot for saying anything. He should have just kept his mouth shut. And mark my words: The Rangers will regret not firing him three weeks ago when they had the chance. This lukewarm, kind-of endorsement of a manager everybody knows is going to be fired is weak. Just fire his butt and move on. It is obvious that is what they want to do.Submitted by Brandon from
Q: So does Marty Turco just have a mental block when it comes to playing Detroit? He was unbelievable in the first two rounds, but I think he has been very ordinary in this series. I know the Red Wings are loaded, but I would like to see Turco be a little tougher to score on than he has shown thus far.
Answered 05/13/08 13:25:38 by Jennifer Engel
A: Not just Marty. Go bigger. Marty and Morrow and Mo and Ribeiro, this whole team seems to go weak in the knees whenever they see those red jerseys. I honestly believe they do not believe they can beat them and, well, of course, this means they already are beaten.
