Violin virtuoso Leila Josefowicz regularly collaborates with contemporary composers John Adams and Oliver Knussen and is an advocate of new music. But for this weekend's stint with the Fort Worth Symphony -- the season finale -- she joins in on some decidedly not-new but beloved compositions: Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 in D Minor.
