Cheers: To Dr. Roark at the Western Hills Animal Clinic for his loving care for our cat, Claudie, who had to be euthanized.

hCheers: to the doctors and nursing staff at Texas Health Harris HEB Hospital for excellent service and care for my mom during her stay Aug. 18 and 19. You level of compassion and professionalism is second to none. God bless all of you.

Jeers: To a cable TV company for never burying a cable in my backyard that they laid last January, after repeated calls and complaints. Double jeers to Fort Worth and Texas for having absolutely no oversight of cable providers.

Jeers: To the museum that has a display on the Trinity River. I could do better. The pictures are just ugly. Brian Luenser is the one you should have hired. He lives in Fort Worth and definitely knows the Trinity. Have you seen his work? What were you thinking?

hCheers: To B & M Auto in Mansfield. Brian, Kevin and all employees are kind, courteous and honest. They repaired my 92-year-old mother’s car at a very reasonable price. These guys put class back into auto repair. Great job guys!

hCheers: To Councilman Robert Rivera for moving to end red-light cameras in Arlington. Jeers to anyone who thinks these cameras are a good idea.

iJeers: To those who walk/jog in the dark hours wearing their dark clothes and shoes. Why do you want to be invisible to drivers? If you must wear the dark colors, slip a white or reflective vest over your stylish outfit. Even a cheap white T-shirt will help.

Cheers: To writers mentioning the Cowboys merchandise, including the bras and panties. Never seen any. Hope I never do. Noted was the “über-expensive watches that have been added to their collection of junk we don’t need.” I bet the watches show the correct time just twice a day — say, 8 and 8.

h Cheers: To Tom Murphy for his article on insurers that steer clear of sicker patients. I’m new to Medicare and already appalled how some insurance supplements tell us which group of doctors to use and medication to take. As retirees on Medicare, we deserve better than that.

Cheers: To the kind gentleman that bought my lunch at Cotton Patch on Aug. 29. You made my day. I will make sure the kindness extended to me will be shown to another. Thank you again!
