Jeers: To KXAS/Channel 5 news. Watching all morning and still listening to a bunch of drivel about the lake house on fire. We know what happens — there are flames. Felt sorry for reporters Kristi and Eric killing time. Tell reporter Julie Fine that one doesn’t say “10:30 a.m. tomorrow morning.” A.M. means morning.

hCheers: To the young Euless police officer who helped push my vehicle into a parking lot off Texas 10 in the night June 11. I know he had more important calls to answer, and I appreciate his patience and kindness.

Jeers: To DFW Airport for charging a $20 fee over an expired credit card on my TollTag account, even though I responded immediately. The reply, “It used to be $30,” is not a consolation.

hCheers: To Chris and Rudy of David Newberry Plumbing. They went out of the way to see that I got the right kitchen faucet to replace my broken one. They were fast, efficient and very pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend them.

h Cheers: To Heather Pierce for her honesty and compassionate heart! She returned my son’s DS bag with all his game belongings and our house keys in it, which we left behind on the city bus! We said a small prayer and hoped for the best. Heather, you’re an answered prayer!
