Cheers: To the firefighters who gathered the groceries from my car after a collision on Cooper Street June 23, took them to my house and put them away, even hosing off the broken eggs on the car mat. I was overwhelmed by your kindness and thoughtfulness.
— Judy Magee, Arlington
Jeers: To those who want these kids crossing the border illegally to be taken care of, but don’t sponsor or take care of them. They should take care of one child or donate to Catholic Charities.
— G.D. Pursley, Fort Worth
Cheers: To the three Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders who sang The Star-Spangled Banner at the Professional Bull Riders event in AT&T Stadium. They did a beautiful job of treating our national anthem with the respect and dignity it deserves.
— Roger Kionka, Arlington
