iJeers: To State District Judge Jean Boyd for burdening the taxpayers with the cost for treating Ethan Couch rather than holding him responsible, or his parents, for the deaths that Ethan caused. This just reinforces that there is special treatment for the rich.
— Rick Steinocher, Euless
hCheers: To the César Chávez Committee for this year’s highly successful march/rally on March 29. Hopefully the sleeping panther is waking up. And Jeers to the Fort Worth City Council for not acknowledging the entire committee’s hard work at its council meeting on April 1.
— Dora Gonzales, Arlington
iJeers: To whoever took my two “spiritual journals” from the Kroger at West 6th Street and South MacArthur Boulevard in Irving. You also took my daughter’s “sweet 16” birthday presents that, as a single father, I cannot replace — four One Direction concert tickets. Cheers to the Kroger team for helping me look for them.
— James Slette, Grand Prairie
