hCheers: To the North Richland Hills Public Works Department. Recently I reported a problem with my street-side water cut-off valve. Within 18 hours, department personnel had corrected the problem and even installed a new water meter. Really thankful I live in NRH!
— Curtis McJunkin,
North Richland Hills
iJeers: To candidates who think that they can earn my vote by calling my phone and interrupting me at any time of the day with their obnoxious and inane recorded messages. And who decided that the ridiculous political calls would be exempt from the no-call list?
— Larry Fuller, Arlington
hCheers: For two salesladies at Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft store on Hulen Street. While purchasing 17 fleece throw kits to make for abused, neglected kids at a summer camp, I got “sale” and regular items mixed up and the ladies kindly figured out the price difference with a big smile on their faces.
— Carolyn Southward, Nemo
