hCheers: To the nice man whose name was “Smith” who bought five cousins their lunch on Jan. 22 at Capt. D’s on Camp Bowie Boulevard. We Bishop cousins came from three different areas to meet, and it made our day. Thank you, Mr. Smith.
— Jeannie Gotcher, Fort Worth
iJeers: To local sports talk show hosts who have failed to do their homework regarding the Olympics. Heard last week, “I think the downhill is when they ski around those sticks.” “I don’t know the difference between the slalom and downhill.” And they get paid for this.
— Jay A. Cornils, Cleburne
hCheers: To Mayor Betsy Price and our City Council for trying to be fiscally responsible. We should make every effort to keep any promises made to current and retired city employees. However, if we break the bank, we will not be able to keep any promises. Thank you for your service.
— Anita Cox, Fort Worth
