hCheers: To Saginaw Officer Jeff Stone who responded to a request to investigate why June Ahern wasn’t answering the telephone. He found her on her floor incoherent due to a brain injury. She had been that way for over 24 hours. Officer Stone’s response saved her life.
— Vince Rios, Haslet
hCheers: To the guys at Discount Tire on Altamesa Boulevard. You were already closed when I arrived to get help after my son’s hit-and-run accident. You reopened the shop and replaced the tire so we could drive his car home. Thank you for paying it forward.
— Melanie Towle, Fort Worth
hCheers: To the man who stopped in rush-hour traffic on Feb. 6 to push my car when I was stuck in the snow at the intersection of Davis Boulevard and Precinct Line Road. I appreciate your kindness more than I can say.
— Nancy Sinclair, Argyle
