hCheers: To Mike Carrera, store director of Albertson’s at Loop 820 and John T. White Road, for making available more handicapped parking places. They are very much in use and seldom is there a vacant one. I know because I use one when I shop there.
— Pat Atkinson-Leito,
iJeers: To the person(s) in charge of the “Streets of El Paso” enactment during the rodeo. The saloon scene, the fighting and finally the shooting and killing of the cowboy was unfit fodder for family viewing. It was not an easy explaining to a 4-year-old. Surely you can do better.
— Pamela Ator, Fort Worth
hCheers: To the couple in the next booth at the Division Street Diner in Arlington who paid for an 88-year-old couple’s breakfast on Feb. 1. We were surprised, and we thank you. We will pay it forward.
— Vernon and Norma
