Cheers: To the father and daughter that was wearing a pink shirt with love on the front for buying our dinner at IHop in Southlake on Highway 114 Saturday. It was such a wonderful surprise to us seniors. Thank you, and we want to send blessing to you and your family.
— Gene and Anita Brown, Roanoke; Marvin and
Charlene Perry, Grapevine
Jeers: To a hospital emergency room doctor. My 81-year-old husband couldn’t walk because of back pain. The doctor X-rayed his back, gave him a shot and sent him home. This time going to the emergency room backfired. I’m at wit’s end.
— Dorothy Melton, Fort Worth
Cheers: To Steve Curry at Freeman Toyota for going the extra mile. My friend was on a coast-to-coast drive and needed four tires. You had two and found two more, after 5 p.m. a holiday weekend Friday so she could be on her way the next day as planned.
— Vicky Torrey, Haltom City
