Cheers: To our waiter at Zio’s in Arlington on Dec. 30. My husband and I had just finished our dinner when our waiter said, “Happy holidays, and I’ve taken care of your meal.” This is why we’ve been eating two to thee times monthly at Zio’s. The staff and food are stupendous!

— Laura Jones, Arlington

Jeers: To the hate group that set up their little display in the grassy area in front of the local Post Office on Thursday, Jan. 9. You are what is wrong in America today and you make me sick.

— Robert Mills, Hurst

Cheers: To Rosemont Junior Cadet Corps which did an outstanding job at the 2013 Armed Forces Bowl. They had two performances that were seen by thousands. They have worked very hard, we are so proud of all of our cadets.

— Toney Turner, Fort Worth
