Cheers: To the staff and nurses at Texas Hospice for the wonderful care for my mother, who was diagnosed with brain cancer. Their caring nurses allowed my mother’s final wish — to pass away peacefully and comfortably in the loving environment of her own home — to come true.
— Mark Rabey, Bedford
Jeers: To the Fossil Creek-area steakhouse that clears your table if you leave your food for a few minutes. It’s happened three times to me. Bus boys rule.
— Ruby Hensley, Decatur
Cheers: To all the newspaper carriers for braving the sleet and refreezing ice each morning. No school, no government, no church, even no mail on Saturday, but I got my Star-Telegram fix every day.
— Lynn M. Holt, Mansfield
