hCheers: To the helpful and knowledgeable staff at Sprad’s Ace Hardware on Denton Highway in Haltom City. Their experience and patience in explaining what’s needed and how to do it make it a pleasure to shop there. They’re a real asset to our community. Shop local.
— Ray Ecklund, Haltom City
hCheers: To Nancy Butler and the fine folks at Fort Worth Animal Control. My dogs killed a raccoon in my yard and I was so worried. They reassured me, tested the raccoon for rabies, and called me back to let me know the test was negative. Thank you!
— Karen Benson, Fort Worth
iJeers: To the city of Fort Worth for forcing employees to use personal leave for the two ice days when the city government was closed. All other government agencies and school districts paid their employees. The city chose to close; the city should pay the employees.
— Joyce Miller, Fort Worth
