Scare tactics

Bob Ray got this one right. Our government wants us all “scared.”

In his column on August 27 he commented on the tactics used by our state and federal government to show us how dangerous the Mexican border is with thousands of people flooding this country.

Imagination is the word he uses. Imagination is also used to keep our attention away from the the money Congress pays the defense industry to protect us from the Islamic State (ISIS). Remember the Cold War?

I am more afraid of the ways that Congress pays themselves and their financial backers with our money while telling us that we are too poor to take care of our own people.

We should all be afraid!
