I am dismayed by political rhetoric by some politicians in which they say hateful things about the government and President Obama.
Govs. Perry and Jindal of Louisiana are good examples. Perry displays so many “oops” in his statements its unreal. Jindal says “we need a rebellion and a hostile takeover in Washington.”
This is unAmerican, destructive and their words can inspire radical fringe groups.
Having observed politics since the days of FDR, I have never seen such animosity between the two parties.
I admired Republicans like Sens. Lott, Dole, Dirksen, Tower and Baker. Statesmen who could sit down with Democrats and negotiate differences for the good of the country.
In today’s Republican Party, they could not get a smell.
Let’s have respect for our government and the president who was elected by the American people by millions of votes.
