Regarding a Star-Telegram headline from July 14, “School technology deal was a waste, audit confirms”:
The Fort Worth school district not only paid $2.7 Million for computer equipment, $1.8 Million for unneeded technology and $823,380 for software, but will pay another $85000 this year for maintenance, and no one is being held accountable for this outrage! (This waste could have resulted in hiring some 120 teachers.)
But relax, this is just a drop in the bucket compared to the waste in federal government!
