Don’t rip bike riders

Fort Worth bicyclers are just like everybody else — you have some bad actors (See: letter “Privileged class” from July 15).
The majority of us who are courteous to drivers, other bikers and pedestrians are just thankful to have such terrific places to ride all over Fort Worth.
I get off busy roads as soon as possible, stay far to the right and say a little prayer of thanks every time a car passes.
Please don’t lump all of us together or push for more restrictions to make bicycling more difficult.
Trinity Trails is one of Fort Worth’s best features along with the new bike lanes downtown and elsewhere. Improving, expanding and connecting that system should be sincerely considered as the city grows.
Maybe the quiet majority of polite riders could try policing our own?
