Merge of moderates
When did we become so rude and hateful, berating Congress for every little thing?
I was raised to respect authority, including and especially the president of the United States, as well as our senators and representatives, whom we elect.
If we are dissatisfied with their service, we change things with our vote, not with constant berating of the president and Congress in newspapers, magazines, emails, Twitter or Facebook.
I suspect the large majority of us fall into a new faction of moderate Democrats and moderate Republicans who, if brave enough to come out in the midst of these angry, out-of-control, hateful extremists, would form yet another political party.
I believe both the Democratic and Republican parties would shrink in size and power if a leader came forward to merge the moderates.
If we continue to undermine our leaders, no other country will ever respect us.
