I’ve been attending the annual Colonial Golf Tournament since I was a teenager.
It is the observation of this 64-year-old golf enthusiast that the powers-that-be made a colossal error with the one entranceway to the grounds.
It made all patrons (unless you live nearby) enter one primary gate and then force a considerably long walk across the entire course.
If you wanted to be around the clubhouse area you really had to “take a hike.”
I just hope that the PGA of America, Crown Plaza Hotels and Colonial Country Club can put their collective heads together and come up with something better, something convenient to the actual people that attend the event.
