Invitation to All Points: Banning e-cigarettes

The Fort Worth City Council is discussing a ban on electronic cigarette sales to minors and possibly other restrictions. Proponents of e-cigarettes see them as a helpful tool in smoking cessation, but opponents believe they are a “gateway” to tobacco smoking. The FDA has yet to issue guidelines about potential health risks.
Given the limited science and research, is Fort Worth smart to regulate sales to minors and maybe restrict “vaping” in public places? Or would the ban discourage a healthy alternative to tobacco smoking?
