Sen. Lindsey Graham has remarkably linked the events in Ukraine and the Crimean peninsula with those that took place in Benghazi, Libya nearly two years ago. Try as I might, I simply cannot make the connection.
According to reliable news reports, few if any shots have been fired in Ukraine or Crimea, no buildings have burnt to the ground, our embassy in Ukraine is not surrounded by Islamist extremists and the ambassador and his staff seem to be in good health. Please, senator, help me out. How do I put these events together?
Perhaps I need to join you and Putin in “La La Land.”
I’ll look forward to more preposterous pronouncements on Benghazi since you don’t intend to let the subject die until after the 2016 election.
