Cruz wrong on Branch

Sen. Ted Cruz’s ad supporting Ken Paxton for Attorney General leads you to believe that Paxton’s greatest qualification is being his friend and that is reason enough to vote for him.
I support Cruz, but he is wrong this time.
In fact, most of his advisers and the Texas Tea Party Caucus leaders are endorsing Dan Branch.
He has 30 years of legal experience and is the chairman of the House Higher Education Committee.
Perhaps his willingness to act as a gentleman to both parties to get things done makes him not conservative enough in Cruz’s eyes.
To keep Texas red and change the image of our party, we must elect candidates like Dan Branch who make decisions that support all Texans.
