Richard Greene's critics have implied he has manipulated the facts concerning the Wendy Davis biography to further his conservative opinions. The admitted fudging by Davis is understandable. However, if true, the circumstances of her education bear scrutiny.

If indeed her husband paid for the TCU and Harvard education, necessitating the use of his 401(k) — only to be served divorce papers when the college loans were paid — brings into focus the depth of her character.
