With all due respect to Richard M. Holbrook, I would like to suggest he educate himself on the realities of Military Sexual Trauma (or MST). It is not just a men-on-women crime, but also men-on-men (and, no, these are not acts by homosexuals) as well as women-on-men and women-on-women. (See: “Sexual assault in the armed forces,” Dec. 19)
So his premise is incorrect and has no merit. I suggest he educate himself before making any more comments about MST, which has been going on “in secret” for many, many years. Now is the time to say “no more” and to work towards shining light on MST to hopefully eliminate it.
