Get ready for another touch of inconvenience from the North Tarrant Express.
Westbound lanes of Northeast Loop 820 from Grapevine Highway (Texas 26) to Interstate 35W will be shifted Saturday to newly built toll lanes, so the final pavement can be installed on the main lanes of the North Tarrant Express project.
Eastbound traffic will not be affected, and the shift will remain in place through June 29.
Until traffic returns to the main lanes, there will be only two entrances to westbound Loop 820: Bedford-Euless Road and Denton Highway (Texas 377). The only exits from westbound Loop 820 will be Holiday Lane, Iron Horse Boulevard and Denton Highway.
Visit northtarrantexpress.com to see ramp changes and alternate routes, as well as other closures in the $2.5 billion project. When it opens later this year, there will be 13.5 miles of rebuilt main lanes and frontage roads, and new toll lanes, on Loop 820 and Airport Freeway from Interstate 35W to Industrial Boulevard.
