Police arrested a 42-year-old man on Wednesday in connection with four robberies that took place in September in Irving.

Eddy Spearman, Dallas, was in the Irving Jail on Friday facing an aggravated robbery charge. Bail was set at $50,000, the jail log showed.

Televising video surveillance of one of the robberies led to tips investigators used to capture the suspect, according to a news release.

Spearman is suspected of robbing one convenience store twice in less than three weeks, a Family Dollar Store and another convenience store in September.

Police said Spearman walked to the counter to make a soft drink purchase, and then threatened the clerk with a handgun when the register opened.
