KELLER -- A Euless man was in jail Thursday after police say he fired a shot at a car on Wednesday afternoon that he claimed had tried to run him off a road.

Police identified the suspect as Bruce Gardner, 31, of Euless who was in the Keller Jail on $20,000 bail.

He is expected to be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

No one was injured in the road rage that happened about 5 p.m. Wednesday at Texas 114 and Trophy Club Drive. Garner was arrested shortly after the incident at a parking lot in Westlake.

A man reported to a dispatcher that the Euless man had shot at his car while he drove down Texas 114.

The men knew each other, police said.

The man had driven to Irving before he called dispatchers who told him to return to Keller. Police found a bullet hole on the passenger side door.

Working on information from witnesses, police tracked the Euless man to the Westlake parking lot.

The Euless man told police that the other man had thrown something at him as they drove down the highway. Seconds later, the Euless man told police that the other man in his 2002 Cadillac attempted to run him off the road
