Police arrested a 17-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department early Friday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to authorities. Senior Cpl. Shawn Wash, 41, was released from the Colleyville jail about 5 p.m., according to Raymon Cannon, Colleyville police spokesman. Wash was arrested about 5:40 a.m. in the 4900 block of Jackson Road and was placed on administrative leave. Details about the arrest were unavailable late Friday. The case will be forwarded to the Tarrant County District Attorney, whose office will determine whether charges will be filed, police said.
